What are notifications?
Notifications are messages sent via email or text messages to participants of a particular sub event or the main event.
Notifications can be to announce results, change in schedule, etc.
For an event, you can send unlimited email notifications – however, there is a limit on the number of text notifications that you can send out.

Why would someone need to send their registrants notifications?
You would want to send out notifications to registrants to announce a change in schedule, results of a particular sub event, an urgent notice – just about anything.

What are the different ways in which I can send notifications?
You can send out notifications via email and text messages (SMS).

Are these notifications charged?
Every account comes with a set of pre determined SMS notifications which you can recharge by paying a nominal fee once they are over. However, the email notifications are not charged.

How can I personalise these notifications?
The instructions to personalize these notifications are given on the notification sending page.
You can enter the following text in your email which will be replaced with the respective details of the participant:
- {{Name}} - Name of the Participant
- {{RegId}} - Registration ID of the Participant
- {{SubEvent}} - Name of the sub event for which the participant has registered
You cannot personalize an SMS notification.

What is a sender ID and how can I get a personalised Sender ID?
When a text message (SMS) is sent, the sender ID is the “From” part of the message which the recipient sees. If you are using the Professional plan or above, you can have a sender ID (limited to 11 characters) matching your event name shown there – for greater impact.
All other plans will have the sender ID – EventAZoo.

What happens if my text notification is larger than 160 characters?
If your text (SMS) notification is larger than 160 characters, it will be truncated to 160 characters and sent only in 1 text message.
